Captive of Man

I thought writing would be easier! I originally created this weblog along side with my other blogs because I felt that during the day many thoughts pass my mind. Thoughts that I would like to share or read after years when Im old and grey. Of course writing down your idea's isnt the easiest thing. As a matter of fact just now as I struggle for words I appreciate the many bloggers out there who just come up with things to say instantly. I've never held a diary and I was never particularly good at writing. In fact I geuinely think that if my grammmar teachers find out that today I dedicate couple of minutes of my time to write blogs they would have a heart attack. But it's not in my nature to cheap talk. I don't wanna talk about what I did at work today, or what I learned. I wanna capture a bigger image of life. After all we are not just here to grow, eat, have sex and then die. There must be a greater cause! The day I find the reason for my being here would be one of my happiest days. A day that I may look less confused than I usually do.

They say the worst death is the end of your hope. The end of my hope would be the day that I realize I can not achieve that greater cause. But then again I am no Che!

Sometimes I think those people who live in small villages with limited knowledge of the world are the luckiest people alive. After all the less you know the less you are aware of the things you don't know! It may even make you a happier individual. The worst human enemy is perhaps this extended knowledge. Once you have it there is no guarantee of it not being misused. The more talented ones even come up with ideas to justify their misuse of knowledge. It's easy to turn and twist the reality when you know more than the people you are dealing with. Perhaps this is what is happening in the world. We are the puppets of those greater than us. If that was the case I wouldn't be too upset. But thats not how it works. Consider an example. In the Roman Army there were slaves who were usually responsible for carrying the arms and spears of the soldiers when they had to walk from one destination to another. Its said that whenever the Roman wanted to delay the war or to make the enemy tired they would send these slaves to fight with the enemy without having any arms or spears.  We are perhaps like those slaves! We work and die so that the more powerful can live and reach their goals. That's just a sad reality since their very goals maybe the distruction of what we believe!

Operation Hollywood

I saw a documentary named "Operation Hollywood" couple of days ago about how 8 members of the US Embassy escaped Iran during the Revolution of 1979. It was very interesting indeed to see Amaricans with the help of Canadians go to such great length to rescue 8 individuals from nothing!
Nothing happend to the other 66 Amarican hostages after some students broke into the US Embassy in Iran and demanded to get Shah back in return for the Amarican hostages. These 8 individuals suposingly ran away from the Embassy when the suspected that the crawed that was holding a protest just outside of the US Embassy maybe posing a threat to them. They escaped from the back door and hid in the house of a Canadian diplomat for almost a month during which time the CIA was coming up with a brilliant plan. The old Hollywood story! They made a company with the help of a movie director and released new identities and passports for the much hated Amaricans and passed them as Hollywood worker Canadians to escape from Iran. The survivors of this event were telling their exciting story while you could see the most eligant Persian Carpet laying down in their living rooms.

Watching this documantery made me think. It's amazing to see how greater powers get to screw with the new arrivals ( Iran)! It's amazing to see that once a third world country reaches a certain point of power, the officials in US feel the need to make some changes to keep the third world countries down at the level that they are, keeping them from growth and progress. Its even more interesting to see how the citizans of US are so ignorance and blind to the realities of the world. They still glorify their country as if it is the remedy to any pain! The universe is in danger? NO worries the Amaricans are going to save it! The same old Hollywood story!
